Benefits of Back Illuminated Design

USB 3.0 Interface and 256MB DDR3 Memory
The ASI678MM utilizes USB 3.0 interface for stable connection as well as 256MB DDR3 Memory for secure data transfer without interference. This is particularly useful for long exposures since it avoids frame dropping and unwanted glow by slow reading spead.
Say Goodbye to Amp Glow
A major plus of the ZWO ASI678MM is zero amp glow regardless of exposure time or gain value. It also doesn't need to be controlled via software since it is implemented in the hardware
HGC Mode for High Gain Efficiency
The newly added HCG mode reduces readout noise at high gain. This keeps dynamic range the same regardless of low or high gain. The readout noise at 0.8e can maintain a dynamic range of around 12 bit.
