ZWO - ASI462MM Monochrome CMOS USB 3.0 Camera without DDR3 Memory
Building upon high sensitivity in the IR wavelength, the ZWO ASI462MM is almost identical to the ASI290MM concerning resolution, ADC, pixel size, and computer interface. However, it differs in some key points such as frames per second, read noise, and quantum efficiency.

Low Readout Noise
A significant selling point of the ASI462MM is the low readout noise, particularly at high gain for stable high dynamic range. The gain is automatically turned on at 80 and the dynamic range reaches close to 12 stops, resulting in a readout noise as low as 0.47e. Matched with the high quantum efficiency peak of 89%, signal to noise ratio is enhanced.








AR Protective Window
The ZWO ASI462MM includes anti reflective coating on the protective glass. The window diamter is 21mm and thickness is 1.1mm.


256MB DDR3 Memory
The ZWO ASI462MM includes 256MB DDR3 memory. Along with the USB 3.0 interface, this effectively removes the risk of frame dropping due to its secure and stable connection which is a major selling point for astroimagers doing longer exposures so they do not get ruined in the interim.


USB 3.0 and Autoguiding Ports
The ZWO ASI462MM is USB 3.0 compatible, meaning 5 Gb is supported for the camera to run at 136.1 fps (10 bit high speed mode) or 63.9 fps (12 bit normal mode) at 2mp full resolution. The ST-4 port can connect to autoguide port on the mount for guiding purposes.
