    ASA has developed a fantastic line of high quality Ritchey-Chretien Telescopes perfectly geared for extensive research or high level astro-imaging. The ASA 500mm f/8 is a fast high quality optical system that uses a hyperbolic primary mirror to form the image behind the cell and uses the secondary mirror for focusing by moving it along its axis via a computerized electrical drive system. These optical systems are similar to Cassegrains, but has improvements in the field correction even without a field-flattener lens being used.
