These rings clamp onto your telescope to provide an attachment point for Tele Vue mounts. Felt lining on interior surface protects telescope finish. Rings include two mounting channels for Tele Vue finder accessories — such as the Televue Starbeam with Tele Vue base, Sol-Searcher, Piggy-Cam and others.  A black satin anodized finish provides durable beauty for many years. 

About the Telescope Balance Aid: 

The balance aid is a plate that attaches to TV-76's mount ring with the provided screws and moves the balance point about 2½" forward. This helps balance the scope with heavy eyepieces and accessories. Hardware is provided for attachment on Tele Vue Tele Pod-style mounts or on photo tripods.

About the Everbrite Diagonal: 

Televue Everbrite diagonals provide whiter and brighter images thanks to Televue's exacting mirror coatings.   . This exotic, dielectric, nonmetallic coating is 99% reflective across the full visual spectrum, resulting in the "whitest," most natural image available. The coating is painstakingly applied to Pyrex with a surface accuracy of a 1/10 wave flatness. To ensure performance, every mirror is optically inspected under conditions far more critical than a diagonal mirror is ever used in typical telescopes. In this way, Tele Vue can guaranty that the Everbrite will permit your telescope to operate at its fullest potential.   The diagonal bodies of each are machined from solid blocks of aluminum and permanent alignment is assured. The one piece body construction also means heavy accessories can't force the diagonal body to "unscrew" from the barrel as with other brands. These diagonals feature brass clamp rings, anti-reflection threads and filter threads.  A 2" to 1.25" adapter is included so you can use your 1.25" eyepieces and accessories.
