Starlight Xpress Oculus All Sky Camera

The Starlight Xpress Oculus all-sky camera is designed to provide high quality sky images for weather and meteor observations. The camera core is based on the 1.4 megapixel 'SuperStar' and it employs a 2.5mm FL f1.2 'Fish-Eye' lens to achieve 150 degrees coverage. A 1.55mm f2 180 degree 'Fish-Eye' lens is also available as an optional extra, giving horizon to horizon coverage.  Add the optional Ocupi Wifi hub for automated coverage, storage and live broad cast of dusk to dawn all sky imaging. 

With a focus on low energy consumption and minimal noise, the Oculus ranks among the best all sky cams on the market.  Fully weatherproof to last years outdoors, the dome is constructed of high polish polycarbonate, similar to what you find in lightweight eyeglass lenses, that causes minimal distortion.   Smart design features like weeping holes allow water and moisure to simply run off the dome and out of the housing.  Bead blasted clear finsh for added durability.   Using a Sony ICX205AL chip, the Starlight Xpress Oculus captures high resolution black and white images of the night sky.
