Film solar filters are specialized solar film stretched or laminated onto a frame. There is no glass in these filters making them lightweight and low cost. There are a variety of films available from low-cost black polymer which produces a yellow-orange view of the Sun to premium photographic films designed for long exposure to the Sun at higher magnifications.
