Rigel Systems PulseGuide Illuminator
Do you experience eye fatigue when doing long timed astrophotography exposures? Is guiding becoming a real headache? Then consider the clever and inexpensive Rigel PulsGuide. The variable brightness and timed pulses are defined by the user for the reticule illumination to let the eye rest between pulses. The result? Improved contrast between reticule and faint guide stars for easier guiding and better astrophotographs or acquisition of faint object in your finderscope! Thanks to two Knob timing control and adjustable brightness you independently tailor on and off blink times from continuous on to long- on/short- off or short- on/long- off or anything in between. What makes the Rigel PULSGUIDE special in the two color LEDs. You can switch to yellow by simply unplugging the red and some astrophotographers find low level yellow makes the cross hair clearer and sharper, and makes guiding even easier.
The Rigel Pulse Guide Illuminator can be used with Rigel Systems' quality, dual crosshair 12mm Kellner eyepiece (product #RS12PLS) or with your eyepiece or finder because it was designed to fit the standard 8mm threaded hole. Don't worry, because 10mm and 14mm set-screw adapters are also available. Supplying the power is one long life lithium battery (included) which is available at most electronics, camera and hardware stores.
