AZ mounts move corresponding to altitude (up-and-down) and azimuth (side-to-side). Alt-Az mounts are great because they tend to be lightweight and easier to assemble and setup. These altazimuth telescope mounts are best suited to observing and short exposure photography though you can up the exposure times with an EQ wedge.
