The iOptron permanent piers constructed from aluminum alloy and 1/4" thick wall tubing. The thicker wall insures reduced vibration and increased system stability. Four aluminum side struts are welded between the pier tube and the base plate to eliminate side flexure of the tube assembly under heavy or off-center loads.

The CEM25P has all of the features of the CEM25 and now has a guaranteed low periodic error of ~+/- 10 Arc seconds or less. The improved tracking accuracy is a product of tighter production tolerances. It also features larger gear switches on both axes, making access and adjustment easier especially with light gloves on.

The CEM25P is a step up from the CEM25 from iOptron with a guaranteed low periodic error of ~+/- 10 Arc seconds or less. Larger gear switches on both axes make adjustment easier, a highlight feature of this mount.
