Lumenara is taking advantage of the new USB 3.0 interface into its new CMOSIS camera series for low noise and high sensitivity. In the case of the Lt425 camera, the CMV4000 Rev3 sensor is used. With the new interface, high frame rates are a direct result without buildup of extra cost. Some advantages of the USB 3.0 include data rates faster than GigE while skipping software and hardware problems as well as not needing a cameralink framegrabber since USB 3.0 is a new interface into modern computers.
