CELESTRON - 9.25" EdgeHD™ Optical Tube Assembly (OTA) • 91040-XLT
The Celestron EdgeHD 925 is a catadioptric based optical tube assembly with the EdgeHD optical system to reduce coma. This makes it outstanding for both visual astronomy and astrophotography and is capable of imaging a wide variety of celestial objects ranging from planets to distant galaxy clusters. With the addition of the StarBright XLT™ coatings by Celestron, excellent and efficient light transmission is realized. Since most Schmidt-Cassegrain designs normally have a default focal ratio of f/10 but can be reduced by using the Fastar™ system of removable secondary mirrors to create a blazing- fast focal ratio of f/2 for wide field and fast astrophotography with most deep sky objects. This is a step up from the regular Schmidt-Cassegrain design!
