Product Description

CELESTRON • NexStar 102SLT 4" Refractor Computerized Telescope  •  22096

The Celestron NexStar 102 SLT is a step up from normal refractor models with a 63% increase in image brightness over 80mm telescopes.  With a fast f/6.5 focal ratio, it provides high contrast of planets and will also serve well for basic deep sky observing, especially with lower magnifications.

The computerized hand control of over 4,000 celestial objects comes with the NexStar 102 SLT and the user can slew to any one of those available objects after proper alignment. Celestron's SkyAlign method requires the user to have absolutely no knowledge of the night sky. By simply entering the time, date and location in the hand controller and then slewing to three random stars in the night sky, the software can calculate based on the distances and angles of each star selected by the SkyAlign system, and therefore self-aligns with little or no input from the observer.
