The SkyProdigy series are basically telescopes that align themselves! Using the automatic alignment process with an attached digital camera called the StarSense technology, the camera takes separate snapshots of different parts of the sky and matches them against the computer database to determine what coordinates each snapshot was and therefore essentially align the telescope itself without any user input whatsoever! In the case of the SkyProdigy 90, it is a Maksutov-Cassegrain design which makes it great for observing planets like Jupiter with high contrast because these types of telescopes use Meniscus corrector plate (unlike a Schmidt corrector plate) and therefore creates a very slow focal ratio of f/14. The optical tube is mounted on a fully computerized altazimuth mount which includes sturdy stainless steel tripod legs as well as an accessory tray.
