Starlight Xpress Trius SX-814 USB Hub Monochrome CCD Camera 

The new Trius camera series from StarLight Xpress offers download times of 2 million pixels per second while still maintaining the small size of its previous cameras. One of the best aspects of the Trius series is the USB capability; including 3x USB 2.0 ports (200mA) which allows both a guider and a filter wheel to be used and another port empty for any other device of choice. This makes imaging sessions easier, especially when slewing the mount since there are less cables at risk of being tangled or strained when moving. There are other ports as well, including a +12v DC Jack Socket for power and an RJ11 Guider Port. When imaging, it is essential that the camera maintains a stable temperature, so Argon-Filled CCD chambers are included to allow a greater differential cooling delta. The dry argon on the CCD chamber makes a thermal stable environment, therefore helping with the cooling process. In the Trius series, the delta T is approximately -40°C with the new peltier cooling system. Another mechanism Starlight Xpress has included to prevent moisture in humid environments is a 7 layered fused silica window to prevent dew from setting.
