The Starfield Oasis Focuser focusing tools and firmware can be controlled and updated via mobile devices using Bluetooth.

With dual gears as driving ports respectively on the focuser and the motor, the Oasis focusers can be turned by engaging and disengaging the gears and will self lock when turning on and off, with the gears remaining in place.

The Starfield Oasis can withstand large payloads with its high reduction ratio stepper motor from NPM Motor Company, notwithstanding its smaller size. For instance, on the Sharpstar 107PH, the Oasis can maintain a net load of more than 5 kg.

A major highlight of the Oasis is the high reduction ratio, which measured to less than 1 micron on the Starfield ED102 APO Pro and Sharpstar 107PH, records at 125 steps and 159mm steps at 0.1mm respectively achieving stunning accuracy.

The Oasis results in very small backlash, which is beneficial for ensuring accuracy in adjustment of the focal plane and thus minimize inprecise jolts or movements when adjusting focusing.

Only one installation screw is necessary when setting up the Oasis.
