240 lb Payload Capacity
The Software Bisque Paramount ME Series 6 Equatorial Mount can withstand up to 240 lbs of payload equipment (480 lbs when adding countweights)! For advanced astrophotographers doing thorough and advanced scientific research, this is exactly the kind of payload capacity required to support higher demanding equipment and significantly larger optical tubes for proper light gathering power to conduct this research. When adding on imaging equipment to the mix, the payload capacity likely can accomodate the largest possible sensors within its payload limit range.
Precision Mechanics and Installed Motor Based Encoders for Superior Performance and Cutting Edge Tracking
Software Bisque has crafted and constructed the design of the Paramount ME Series 6 Mount with precision mechanics to ensure it delivers maximum stability. This, in conjunction with the resilient motor based encoders results in a sturdy astrophotography setup that has extremely scarce negligible vibration, and as a result has remarkable tracking with extremely mimimal error to avoid even slight star shift in long exposure frames. When conducting astrophotography for research purposes where every last mathematical detail accuracy is crucial, this is a major plus!
NOTE: Software Bisque also makes an upgraded version of the Paramount ME Series 6 with On-Axis Encoders. This essentially eliminates almost all error (with the exception of telescope flexure) since these encoders track position in real time rather than in increments and no longer require Periodic Error Correction. Since these are installed directly on the axis themselves, they can circumvent the worm drives. Click here to view the upgraded version!
