The Star Adventurer series of camera tracking mounts focuses on portability and precision, delivering on both.  Weighing just under 4 pounds with the included Dec bracket, you can easily backpack this mount and your choice of tripod or pack it along for your next trip.  Despite the low head weight and compact design, the Star Adventurer 2i can carry up to 11 pounds.  Track in sidereal, solar or lunar modes or use the manual controls to slew at speeds between 0.5x and 12x to keep any sky object centered for either time lapse or long exposure images.    Quickly make adjustments with the clutch release to manually move the mount.  

At the core of the Star Adventurer are the building blocks of traditional motorized astronomy mounts.  DC servomotors using 86mm diameter, 144  tooth aluminum alloy wheel gear with a 13mm brass worm gear.  

With a built in illuminated polar alignment scope with LED illuminated sight, setting up is easy and allows for high precision alignment.  Compatible with both northern and Southern Hemispheres, and with low power consumption this mount was made to work anywhere.   Power the mount for a full 24 hours on just two AA batteries or connect a mini USB cable to a power source for continual use.  

The Star Adventurer 2i also includes a built in ST4 auto guide port so you can utilize your guide camera and advanced image capture softwares.  

The built in SNAP port allows for a direct connect to your camera's shutter control so you can keep your mount as steady as possible for those long exposures.   The exposure settings are fully programmable for any shooting situation.   Once your camera is plugged in and the first shot is made, it will continue to make shots at the same exposure until the cable is removed. Be sure to add the shutter release cable you need.    

Providing a 3/8 inch thread socket and a 1/4-20 inch thread adapter, you can easily connect the Star Adventurer to most photo tripods available.   Using a specialized V series saddle, this mount also readily adapts to common V style  astronomy mounting brackets.   By adding a ball head to this bracket you'll have full flexibility to point your camera independently of the tracking base.
