The Sky-Watcher 80EDX Evostar Doublet refractor features a robust air-spaced doublet lens, premium glass, and a high-transmission coating. It's ideal for wide-angle astronomical observations, such as those of star clusters and Nebulae, and it can be used as an astrograph. The company's proprietary MHC coating is applied to the glass using a process known as metallic high-transmission coating. The combination of the various components, such as the glass, provides a remarkable reduction in the incidence of distortion for bright and clear images. The OTA requires a camera, an eyepiece, and a tripod. It comes with various accessories such as a Vixen-style tube ring, a camera adjuster, a thread-on dewshield, and a 2.8-inch focuser.
