The Sky-Watcher StarTravel 102 AZ3 Telescope is a reasonably priced refractor for observers who want decent sharp views of their intended objects without the higher end specifications and optics needed for higher end astrophotography. Since the design consists of a two element, air spaced, fully multi-coated achromat refractor, views are rich and sharp which can provide a remarkable and rewarding visual session of both deep sky objects, planetary objects as well as the Sun (ONLY when using a proper safe solar filter). It also works great as a terrestrial telescope when mounted on an altaz mount or photographic tripod.

The optical tube included mounting rings simplify the mounting process. The locks can be loosened to rotate and balance the tube.
