The Heliostar 76mm H-alpha Solar Telescope introduces a fresh addition to the Sky-Watcher family, offering a specialized Hydrogen-alpha (Hα) solar telescope. Observing the Sun through Hydrogen-alpha provides a deeper understanding of its surface dynamics, far surpassing what a white light solar filter can show. Hydrogen Alpha (Hα) solar telescopes are specialized tools designed to observe the Sun at a specific wavelength of 656.3 nm, which corresponds to the red line in hydrogen's Balmer series emission spectrum. This wavelength is essential for studying solar events such as prominences, filaments, sunspots, and solar flares in high detail. Unlike standard white-light telescopes, which capture the Sun's full spectrum, Hα solar telescopes focus on specific solar activity occurring in the chromosphere, a layer of the Sun's atmosphere just above the photosphere.
