The Sky-Watcher Flextube 16" 400Pi SynScan Goto Collapsible Dobsonian gives an excellent bang for the buck with respect to aperture! With a 16" aperture, the light gathering power renders a remarkable power of 3257x more than the human eye can see! In addition, the f/4.4 focal ratio makes it an excellent instrument for visually observing deep sky objects with a lower surface brightness as well as planetary objects like the planets and the moon.

Sky-Watcher has included the patented Tension Control Handle to help add or reduce tension between the optical tube and sideboards. In addition, the freedom find dual encoder allows the user to manually point to an object without the need to realign.

The collapsible tube design makes it easy for any user to pack up and take to any observing site. One of the main benefits is the lack of need to disassemble further making the process easier. It will transport as two compact pieces, the optical tube and rocker box. The user also doesn't need to worry about loss of collimation while collapsing the telescope.
