The Sky-Watcher’s EQ6-R Pro Computerized GoTo Equatorial Mount was designed for the astro-imager. Easily connect to your computer via the included USB-B cable for remote operation, plus the built-in ST4 guide port and SNAP port allow for ready-to-use remote control of your guide camera and DSLR or mirrorless camera.  With the ability to link to a computer, you can tap into a plethora of advanced control and imaging software available to amateur astronomers.  The steel tripod provides a solid, steady base for heavy and long optical tubes and the 44-pound load capacity can readily handle mid-size to large optical tubes with heavier imaging systems.    

Using stepper motors with 64 micro steps and 1.8 degree step angle, in tandem with smooth belt drives the Sky-Watcher EQ6-R Pro Astronomy Mount achieves an accuracy of up to 1 arc minute in silent precision.    

With more than 42,000 objects in its database and a user-friendly interface, the SynScan GoTo controller easily connects to a computer for remote operation and has a built-in polar align assist and periodic error correction training that can be configured while in the field. 

Built into the SynScan hand controller, the EQ6-R Pro includes Polar Align Assist when Polaris isn't visible.  Using any visible star from a provided list, simply center the star in the reticle and you're ready to align. The built-in polar scope is illuminated and the circular grid is designed for the northern hemisphere however the constellation Octans is included for use in the Southern Hemisphere.
