The UVEX spectrograph is a type of Czerny-Turner spectroscope designed for a wide range of wavelengths, from just below 350 nanometers in the ultraviolet range to 1 micrometer in the near infrared range. It is referred to as a "crossed" spectrograph.

The UVEX spectrograph is optimized for use with Ritchey-Chretien telescopes, specifically those with a diameter of 12 to 14 inches and a focal ratio of f/8.

The UVEX comes with 600 tr/mm blazed @ 500nm grating as well as an adapter ring for ZWO cameras (other rings for QHY and ATIK cameras are also available as an option).
 

• The motorized UVEX spectrograph enables the user to select the desired central wavelength for observation and adjust the focus of the instrument.
• The motorization of the UVEX spectrograph includes control of the calibration module, which performs the same function as the SPOX module. This allows for remote control of black, flat, and calibration images with ease.
• The UVEX spectrograph uses a calibration "by readjustment" method, whereby the dispersion law is established initially and can be readjusted as needed on a specific reference line. This technique is particularly useful for covering a wide range of wavelengths from UV to IR, especially when there are few available reference lines.
• The UVEX spectrograph is equipped with a slit that can be easily adjusted to five different positions using a Phillips screwdriver, which is provided with the instrument. The available slit widths include 25 μm, 50 μm, 100 μm, 300 μm, and a 25 μm hole. Additional slit options are available, and the Alpy slits are also compatible with the UVEX spectrograph.
