With a PZ33 glass mirror, the telescope doesn't suffer as easily from thermal expansion forces as some other optical tubes with more standard and common glass components. With dielectric multicoatings, reflectivity is increased to approximately 97%. The secondary mirror has a minor axis of 65mm which can more than accomodate full frame sensors for photon illumination. For further optical improvement, the corrector is a dual lens set with one of them being ED glass to prevent chromatic aberration.

The 13028HNT-AL is made of aluminum material to ensure it has a lightweight design and doesn't add unnecessary weight to max out payload capacity on many mounts. The external attached components such as the tube rings are CNC machined.
