Woodland Hills Camera & Telescopes has partnered with Starfront Observatories to offer you turnkey remote observatory imaging for rent or purchase. Get access to Bortle 1 skies, pristine seeing and imaging conditions and premium equipment.

This system is currently available to book at no charge:

Starfront Observatory: William Optics Redcat 61 paired with a ZWO ASI183C, mounted on a ZWO AM5, with ASI120 guide camera and 30mm f/4 guide scope.

This system can be reserved for up to 5 days, making it easy to experience high-quality astrophotography and exceptional skies.

To reserve our Redcat 61 at Starfront please use the form below. Choose the first day of your desired booking, which system you would like to book, and we'll be in touch with access information and to confirm availability. Bookings must be made 3 days or more in advance. If you are unable to use the system in your booked time, please cancel to ensure availability to others.

A note about weather...

Weather is beyond our control, and is a factor you'll need to consider when booking. Inclement weather will prevent observatory roofs from being opened. Starfront has an informative conditions page showing current observatory status, with weather and sky conditions.

We have a variety of ready made, in stock, packages you can choose from. The packages you'll find below are already priced to include a telescope and your first month of pier rental for an appropriately sized pier. More packages will be added soon.

Pricing is monthly and based on your system's swing clearance requirements. The first month will be paid when you purchase your imaging system from us.

Mini Pier (32" swing diameter, no flat panel) – $149/month
Lite Pier (48" swing diameter) – $199/month
Standard Pier (58" swing diameter) – $299/month
