The LISA spectroscope has been intricately tailored to specialize in the field of spectroscopy research and analysis to study and examine dim celestial objects such as comets, novae, supernovae, weak variable stars, distant galaxies or quasars with a redshift Doppler effect, and planetary nebulae. The optical configuration of the instrument has been carefully developed to maximize the quality of observations made on these fascinating phenomena in the cosmos.

Shelyak - LISA High Luminosity Spectroscope - Visible Range

Features

  • The LISA spectroscope is designed for spectroscopy research on faint celestial objects such as comets, novae, supernovae, weak variable stars, distant galaxies or quasars with a redshift Doppler effect, and planetary nebulae.
  • Crafted and tailored optical design optimized for observing these cosmic wonders.
  • The LISA is compatible with an optional calibration module, simplifying calibration with an Argon/Neon lamp for reference emission lines.
  • The calibration module also includes a Tungsten lamp for uniform illumination during calibration.
  • The LISA spectroscope is ideal for observing faint celestial objects with its f/5 aperture. It can be directly attached to telescopes or refractors with a native f/5 focal ratio, or to SCT and RC optical tubes using a reducer.
  • The slit of the LISA can be changed to other types such as photometric slits (sold separately).
  • Comes with a 2" ring adapter, which can be replaced with a T2 or T-mount depending on the optical tube used.
  • The guide camera of the LISA has a C-mount interface with a 17.5mm backfocus distance.

LISA Can Capture Faint Objects

The LISA spectroscope is specifically designed for conducting spectroscopy research and analysis on faint celestial objects, including comets, novae, supernovae, weak variable stars, distant galaxies or quasars with a redshit doppler, and planetary nebulae. Its optical design has been meticulously crafted to optimize observations of these cosmic wonders.

The LISA is compatible with an optional calibration module, simplifying calibration with an Argon/Neon lamp that emits a wide range of emission lines across the primary spectral range of the LISA spectroscope. These emission lines serve as reference points for accurate calibration. Additionally, the calibration module includes a Tungsten lamp that generates flat light, ensuring uniform illumination for calibration purposes.

Domain Range

Demonstrated below, a R=1000 resolving power with a slit of 23 μm, the entire visible range is covered from 400-700nm.

Compatible and best used with f/5 Optical Tubes

The LISA spectroscope, with its f/5 aperture, is ideal for observing faint celestial objects. It can be directly attached to telescopes or refractors that have a native f/5 focal ratio, or with SCT and RC optical tubes that result in an f/5 using a reducer from their normal f/8-f/10 range.

SLIT version can be changed

The slit can be changed from the standard 15-19-23-35 μm to other slits such as photometric type which are purchased separately.

Design

A 2" ring adapter is supplied with the Shelyak LISA which can be replaced with a T2 or T-mount depending on what optical tube it is being mounted to (eg. SCT along with T adapter). The guide camera has a C-mount interface with 17.5mm backfocus distance.
