Meade 6" ACF f/10 LX85 German Equatorial Mount

This LX85 package includes the 6" ACF f/10 Advanced Coma Free reflector telescope providing ample aperture and edge to edge clarity for a wonderful observing and imaging experience.  Drawing from their past line up of highly popular lightweight EQ mounts like the LXD75, the LX85 series features a fully computerized German Equatorial mount that is both portable, afforadable, capable and flexible.   Available as a stand alone mount or with a wide variety of optical tubes, the LX85 is an optimal choice for a grab and go observing and imaging solution. Check out the 8" Meade LX85 advanced coma-free telescope if you require a slightly larger aperture.

About the 6" ACF f/10 Optical Tube

The Meade ACF design reduces astigmatism and eliminates diffractions spikes found in classic RCs making ACF telescopes the perfect platform for the demanding researcher and imaging enthusiast.    This reimagined Schmidt-Cassegrain design is paired with Meade's UHT Ultra High Transmission coatings for high contrast, brightness, clarity and excellent color all with a flatter overall field compared to traditional SCT's.   An oversized low-expansion borosilicate primary mirror and Schott Borofloat glass corrector plate provide diffraction limited optics.  A primary mirror lock helps prevent unwanted mirror shift during long exposure astrophotography and observing.
