The iOptron HEM27 is an excellent design of a hybrid harmonic drive mount! The RA harmonic drive and the backlash-free DEC worm/belt drive design combined with the lightweight 8.15 lbs and high 29.74 lb payload nature of this mount makes the viewing experience a breeze! No need for a countweight or shaft.

The mount is made of a CNC machined body that provides excellent performance. The electronic friction break and power down memory allow the user to safely and easily resume the GoTo slew or tracking after power loss without the hussle of realignment!

The iOptron HEM27 is available as both a standard version and a high res encoder version.
