The iOptron HAE29-EC is a strain wave mount that features advanced strain wave gear technology for precise and smooth tracking.  The EC version includes a high precision RA axis encoder for exceptional tracking accuracy.  

It has a payload capacity of 13.5 kg (29.7 lbs) while maintaining a lightweight design at just 3.7 kg (8.15 lbs) including the dovetail saddle.

CNC machined for high accuracy, it offers a 360-second gear period and includes unique friction brakes on both the RA and DEC axes to prevent movement during power interruptions.

The mount supports both Vixen and Losmandy-D style saddles and has a built-in zero-position search and locator.

Additional features include an integrated ST-4 autoguiding port, Wi-Fi connectivity, a USB port for firmware updates and computer control, and a carrying case. It also comes with a two-year warranty.

Leveraging iOptron’s decades of expertise in precision mount design, the HAE29C combines advanced strain wave gear technology for both RA and DEC movement, ensuring remarkable payload-to-weight efficiency.

The EC version of this mount features a precision RA encoder, designed for high-demand applications that require exceptional accuracy.

The mount features a sleek, black anodized, CNC-machined metal body that is as durable as it is visually appealing. A standout feature is its electronic friction brake, which provides a safe stop during power interruptions. The HAE29C can be controlled through a variety of platforms, including ASCOM/Commander on Windows PCs, INDI drivers on macOS, or iOptron’s Commander Lite app and SkySafari on smartphones and tablets. For wireless control, the “C” models come with built-in Wi-Fi, eliminating the need for a handset, though the optional 8411 Go2Nova® controller is available for those who prefer it.

Both the HAE29C and EC versions offer USB and 12V ports on the saddle for improved cable management, and the mount comes with a custom-fit carrying case for added convenience.
