Coronado 70mm SolarMax III Double Stack H-Alpha Solar Telescope with BF15 and Case

Meade has redesigned their Coronado SolarMax telescopes.  The SolarMax III series includes an improved 2" dual speed rack and pinion focuser for smoother focus control and accurate focus adjustment for both observing and imaging.     The true stand-out feature of the SolarMax III 70mm telescopes is their 60mm external H-Alpha filter for improved contrast and sharper features than the telescopes with smaller etalons.   The result is darker backgrounds and heightened detail on the Sun's surface and more prominently visible edge details like solar flares.    

This is a double-stacked h-alpha solar telescope and includes an additional 60mm external etalon with its own T-Max tuner so that each etalon can be individually tuned for the best results.   With RichView and T-Max tuners, the SolarMax III is quick and easy to tune whether your aim is solar surface detail or edge details, and the adjustments are simple to make for your viewing conditions.  The telescope includes a CEMAX 18mm 1.25" solar eyepiece, a Sol Ranger solar finder, and a hard carry case as well.
