Chroma Technology - I Classic Photometric Filter 895nm - 50mm Unmounted
The Chroma Technology Classic UBVRI Photometric Johnson/Cousins Bessell filters have been specifically developed for photometry applications. They function in a manner opposite to narrowband filters, which allow only a specific bandpass. Instead, these filters are wide band filters that permit and reject broad bandpasses.
The fifth filter in the UBVRI set is the Infrared filter, which enables a bandpass range spanning approximately 700 - 1100 nm. Its bandpass width is roughly 400 nm and is commonly known as the "I Passband."

Features
- Chroma Technology Classic UBVRI Photometric Johnson/Cousins Bessell filters are designed for photometry purposes.
- Unlike narrowband, Bessell filter are wide band filters that permit and reject very wide bandpasses.
- The UBVRI filter set encompasses Ultraviolet, Blue, Visible, Red, and Infrared bands.
- These filters are used for analyzing star distance, temperature, composition, and analysis of galaxy or nebulae composition, among other purposes.
- The Infrared filter, also known as the "I Passband," permits a bandpass range of approximately 700-1100 nm with a bandpass width of around 400 nm.
- This filter is the 50mm unmounted configuration of the Chroma Classic I Bessell filter.
Chroma Classic UBVRI Johnson/Cousins Bessell Filters
The Chroma Technology Classic UBVRI Photometric Johnson/Cousins Bessell filters are designed specifically for photometry purposes. They can be thought of as somewhat the reverse of narrowband filters which only allow a very specific bandpass. In the case of these filters, they are wide band filters that permit and reject very wide bandpasses. The UBVRI, or often known as Bessell or Johnson/Cousins is a popular photometric filter set that encompasses Ultraviolet, Blue, Visible, Red and Infrared bands. These filters can be used for a variety of purposes such as analyzing star distance, temperature, composition and analysis of galaxy or nebulae composition and much more.
I Classic Photometric Filter
The fifth filter in the UBVRI set is the Infrared filter, which permits a bandpass range from approximately 700 - 1100 nm with a bandpass width of around 400 nm. This is often referred to as the "I Passband".
