The Celestron Omni XLT 150mm Newtonian reflector telescope features premium grade optics in a lightweight and easy to transport optical tube with ample aperture to gather the light you need for stellar observing and imaging.  Using aspheric shaping technology in conjunction with hand-figuring the optics, the Omni XLT presents an image with virtually no spherical aberration for images that are crisp and clear for today's larger sensors. Celestron has also added their famous StarBright XLT coatings to further enhance light transmission. The mirrors on this 150mm optical tube assembly are fully coated with multiple layers of high reflectivity aluminum. The aluminum coatings are then enhanced with titanium dioxide and overcoated with a protective layer of silicon monoxide for long life. These are the same mirror coatings used on Celestron’s largest and most expensive telescopes.

High-quality optics start with each lens and mirror being hand selected so only the finest grade of optical glass is used on the Celestron OTA.
