A perfect solution for DSLR or CCD cameras, the Celestron RASA Rowe-Ackermann Schmidt Astrograph V2 is a new gem! Due to the fast and wide field f/2.2 focal ratio, shorter exposure times are now just a couple steps away compared to using traditional f/10 applications while maintaining proper resolution. This also lessens the need for more accurate equatorial tracking since exposure times are shorter.

A major advantage of the RASA 11 V2 is the 43.3mm optimized image circle which helps accomodate the largest chips for excellent pinpoint quality. When using this advantage with a 620mm focal length, wide field deep sky observing is superior!

On top of the image circle and fast focal ratio, the RASA 11 V2 also features 4-element rare earth glass to remove the effects of coma and curvature as well as very minimal vignetting.

The Celestron 11" RASA V2 is equipped Ultra Stable Focus System (USFS) to minimize focus shift and mirror flip which can disturb image quality due to the movement of the primary mirror during focusing or movement of the telescope. USFS is compatible with the optional Celestron Focus Motor which is sold separately. The telescope also has a great cooling mechanism using the MagLev fan to reduce cooling time and keep airflow steady.
