The Askar 60F is a compact optical tube assembly (OTA) with a 60mm aperture and a 408mm focal length, offering a native focal ratio of F6.8. It’s tailored for astronomy enthusiasts seeking a lightweight setup without compromising image quality.

This model utilizes a quadruplet lens configuration—comprising three elements in the front and one at the rear, including an ED (extra-low dispersion) glass element to significantly minimize chromatic aberration. The Askar 60F is capable of full-frame 44mm imaging, delivering excellent edge-to-edge star sharpness.

Equipped with an integrated field flattener, the Askar 60F removes the hassle of adding external flatteners or dealing with complicated back-focus measurements. The Askar 60F OTA weighs just 2.5 kg, with a total weight of 3 kg when including the tube rings and dovetail plate. Its compact and lightweight design makes it highly portable—ideal for both stargazing and astrophotography wherever your adventures take you.

Built for both visual use and imaging, the Askar 60F includes a photographic extension tube with an integrated 2" filter thread. It also comes with M48×0.75 and M54×0.75 adapters, allowing for easy and fast connections to DSLRs and astronomical cameras for immediate shooting.

Its retractable dew shield helps shorten the overall length for easier transport, while the interior of the tube is lined with matte felt to reduce stray light and improve contrast. The OTA features a stylish blue-and-white design, crafted with precision CNC machining and a durable paint finish.

A finder base slot is built into the handlebar, and two additional finder bases are located on either side of the focuser. This smart layout eliminates the need to remove and reattach the finder when repositioning it and also offers extra mounting options for accessories.

The Askar 60F comes with a robust 2.4-inch dual-speed rack-and-pinion focuser, complete with a 1:10 fine adjustment knob featuring a non-slip grip. A 360° rotator with engraved scale on the rear end allows for precise framing and angle control.
