Celestron - EdgeHD 1400 14" Optical Tube Assembly - 91060-XLT
The Celestron EdgeHD 14" Optical Tube Assembly (91060-XLT) is the largest of its series!
With Celestron's highly valued EdgeHD optics combined with the significant light gathering power of the 14" results in a flat focal plane all the way to the edge of the field, truly an astrophotographer's dream!
The focal plane is over three times flatter than the non-edgeHD or standard SCT designs.
Improved resolution is another benefit of the EdgeHD, especially when used with StarBright XLT coatings. This guarantees sharp resolution even for the largest CCD chips.
Secure mirrors with the clutches to prevent image shift, a major problem during long exposure photography.
Tube vents for efficient and stable cooling by allowing hot air to be removed from behind the primary mirror. The 50 mesh filter in each vent removes the air without letting dust in.
Fastar system allows removal of the secondary primary and replaced with another lens accessory to create an f/2 system for extremely fast imaging.
Celestron takes the EdgeHD quality very seriously and thoroughly tests each optical component in each tube.
