The C9.25 Schmidt-Cassegrain optical tube features an optimized baffle system, resulting in the telescope having a flatter field of view for imaging. With a light gathering power of 1127x more than the human eye! That is nearly 33% more than the 8" model. Since it has a slower end focal ratio of f/10, it provides stunning high contrasting views of planets, but for better imaging quality, the telescope is also compatible with many photographic accessories.

The optical tube assembly is mounted on the Advanced GT mount that uses the NexStar computer control technology, including a database of over 40,000 celestial objects with information on over 200 of them. These include the planets and many of the famous deep sky catalogs as well. With the RS-232 and autoguider ports, the mount can be controlled and flash upgraded via the PC as well as control of a camera for astrophotography.
