The 10 Micron GM3000 HPS Equatorial Mount is engineered to accommodate observatory equipment weighing up to 220 lbs, making it an excellent choice for remote observation setups due to its robust and precisely machined structure. With this impressive payload capacity, it can typically support refractors up to 200mm, Newtonian reflectors up to 300mm, and Cassegrains up to 450mm in size.

Equipped with dual-axis absolute encoders, the GM3000 HPS ensures remarkable accuracy, particularly beneficial for extended exposure imaging. Its slewing speed ranges from 2° to 12° per second (with a rate of 9° per second in Right Ascension), providing efficient tracking of celestial objects.

10 Micron - GM 3000 HPS Equatorial Mount Head with Dual Axis Absolute Encoders

Dual Axis Absolute Encoders for Accurate Tracking and Slewing

The GM3000 HPS features dual axis absolute encoders. This gives it stunning accuracy for ultimate long exposure imaging. The slewing speed ranges from 2° - 12° per second (9° per second in Right Ascension). Tracking on any celestial object can be done for up to four hours since tracking can go 30° past the meridian if needed.

The star database consists of stars up to the 16th magnitude as well as various deep sky catalogs and coordinates systems. With accuracy of up to 15 arcseconds to compensate for flexure, long exposure imaging is a breeze without the need for autoguiding!

Accomodates Payloads of up to 220 lbs

The 10 Micron GM3000 HPS Equatorial Mount is designed to support observatory equipment with payloads up to the 220 lb range, making it an optimal choice for remote observation systems with its rigid precisioned machined body. With this payload capacity, generally refractors up to 200mm, Newtonian reflectors up to 300mm and Cassegrains up to 450mm can be mounted. This means telescopes such as the Planewave CDK17 and other similar optical tubes are well within range for this GM3000 HPS. With dual axis servo brushless motors with zero backlash timing reduction and classic bronze wormwheels (192mm DEC and 244mm RA) and allow steel worms of 32mm and 24mm size, the 10 Micron GM 3000 HPS is ideal for accurate and smooth slewing and tracking with extremely heavy payload capacity to support higher end astroimaging and scientific research.

Detachable Electronic Box for Easy Cable Management and Control via Keypad

The 10 Micron GM3000 HPS includes a detachable control box with secure connection and locking screws. With the included cable passage hole, this setup prevents cable clutter and easy controlling of the mount with a low voltage of 100W. The included keypad can be used to control the mount rather than an external computer and with a red backlight and integrated heater, can be used in virtually any observing setting. However a computer can still be used with the RS-232 or ethernet ports.
