The 10 Micron AZ4000 HPS mount is engineered using the proven mechanical and electronic design of the original GM4000 HPS model and introduces an altazimuthal configuration tailored for advanced observational applications. This AZ4000 HPS is suitable for a range of scientific endeavors such as satellite tracking, photometric and astrometric data collection, atmospheric seeing monitoring, and related fields.

Because of its altazimuthal design, the mount requires an optional ASCOM-compatible field de-rotator for long-exposure imaging to prevent field rotation effects, which occur when the sky appears to rotate during tracking.
