The ED 100Sf is now available with Vixen's Dual Speed Focuser. Vixen's apochromatic refractor has an extra-low dispersion (ED) lens which depresses residual aberration to ahcieve a high level of performance. Coupled with a medium f/9.0 focal ratio, the ED "S" series provides sharp, high contrast color-free images. Incorporating one piece hardened steel RA and DEC shafts with needle bearings throughout, the new Sphinx D can handle a load capacity up to 50 lbs. Zoom-In/Out buttons for the color star chart display also control the motor speed. As you zoom in closer to an object on the display screen, the motor speed automatically becomes finer and as you zoom out the motor speed increases to cover larger distances.
