A classical Fraunhofer system offers very good performance when it is designed correctly. Amateur astronomers are often surprised when they have a look through an excellent achromatic system like the Canadian Telescopes CT102. This is when you realize that not all achromats are made the same. Each CT102 lenses are hand figured and hand corrected.
Less false color because of longer focal length and optimized achromatic objective makes this telescope a very good choice for observing planets.
2" Dual-speed fully rotating Crayford focuser with microfine 11:1 focusing
ratio,1.25" adapter with brass compression ring.
Machined Aluminum hinged rings with 5 mounting holes top and bottom and
silver aluminum knurled knobs. Vixen-style dovetail rail for German equatorial or alt azimuth mounts using
the standard dovetail. White tube and dew shield with silver highlights. Black anodized rings and
edges.
