Optical Tube Assemblies

Astro-Tech has built this optical tube by increasing their previous aperture of 66mm to a now 72mm. This allows 9% higher resolution and 19% better light gathering. In addition, a new and updated focuser has been supplied with this telescope.

The Lunt 80mm ED Doublet OTA comes with fully multi-coated lenses that can be used for both night time and solar observing (with a solar filter!), depending on your choice. Since multi-coated lenses tend to be a top option for reduction of light being reflected back by the lens, these eyepieces will definately pay off in conjuction with the scope when retaining the maximum amount of light when viewing at high magnifications.
