The serial Pass-through allows the RoboFocus system to share a single serial port on the PC with the scope/mount. The device comes in three models - LX200; AstroPhysics APGoTo; and mounts with Gemini command sets. It is important to keep in mind that the Pass-through allows the port to be SHARED (two programs cannot have the same COM open at the same time.
