The QHYCCD 8 megapixel Monochrome CCD camera uses the KAF-8300 sensor which is one of the most common CCD sensors available, equipped with anti-blooming features therefore reducing image corruption when heat is present and electrons are more active as well as providing a two-stage cooling system and a built-in shutter. With the filter wheel included, the user can configure the camera and the filter wheel together to take automated imaging sequences. This means the QHY9 with the KAF-8300 is a large monochrome sensor.
