he NGC-MAX includes R.A./Dec. display, timer, polar alignment help, Identify mode, RS-232 computer interface and a 12,046 object database (see below). The NGC-MAX database includes all 110 Messier objects in the Messier catalog and all NGC objects in an NGC catalog. The IC catalog consists of all IC objects which are not galaxies, galaxies which have a magnitude specified and all remaining galaxies which have a size of 1.9 arc-minutes or more. There are separate catalogs for 928 stars and 386 other non-stellar objects, including 19 black hole candidates and quasars. An additional user catalog includes 28 user-defined objects. A planet catalog is also included
