The Skypod Alt Az Mount is a unique portable computer controlled "Go To" mount that evolved from the very successful Vixen Sphinx mounts. The Skypod Alt Az Mount incorporates a compact computer controlled system that automatically slews the telescope from one object to another.

The Vixen fork mount is a heavy-duty Alt-Azimuth mount especially suited for the Vixen Astronomical Observation Binoculars. The fork arms can be placed at a 45 degree angle or straight up. An optional swing bracket fits between the arms and allows the mounting of the Vixen BT80M-A binoculars.

Of special note is the factory-aligned, highly accurate polar axis finder. Both axis motors are built into a small single unit which is universally compatible with all telescopes using a dove-tail connection. In addition, there are no “dead spots” – so you can point your telescope to ANYWHERE above the horizon, whereas, other mounts block the telescope tube at certain points of rotation. This mount also comes standard with AC connection. An optional DC adaptor is available so you can plug your telescope motor into your car if you’re camping or at any remote location.
