The Alta F1 CCD camera from Apogee is equiped with a Kodak KAF-0402ME sensor and includes a fan heat transfer system. It is a microlensed monochrome CCD sensor Vincent 25mm shutter.

The Apogee Alta F2 is a front illuminated microlensed monochrome CCD camera with Quantum Efficiency of 45% at 400nm. It comes with a fan cooling method in which the observor can cool down to 55°C below ambient temperature, but also can be upgraded with a liquid cooling option as well upon request.

The Apogee Aspen CG2000 is a CCD sensor built upon an Interline format. The excellent cooling systems allow a maximum cooling temperature to 70°C using thermoelectric (temperature to electric voltage conversion). The color camera also has a built in web server as well as a 2MHz network interface

Alta U Series cameras are available with a wide variety of sensors, including: Back-illuminated sensors with very high quantum efficiency, some with sensitivity in the deep UV; Interline transfer sensors with fast electronic shuttering and inherent anti-blooming; front-illuminated CCDs with high sensitivity in the near-IR without etaloning.
