TeleVue - Ash Gibraltar Tripod

Perfect for longer, heavier 4" scopes like the TV-85, NP-101(is), TV-102(iis) and Renaissance 102.   Since portability and ease-of-use are design goals for all Tele Vue telescopes, they developed alt-azimuth mounts which share these same goals. The Tele Vue yoke and cradle design offers balanced, smooth motions.  Best described as "rock-solid", Gibraltar tripods are available in Ash or Walnut.

The rock-solid Gibraltar mount is best matched with our longer, heavier 4" scopes. The larger bearing surfaces and thicker wood legs best handle the loads, especially for high power viewing. The Gibraltar tripods are American made in a choice of solid ash or walnut wood for beauty and quick vibration dampening. Leg extensions raise the tirpod height to 5 feet, still ideally sized for use with our Air-Chair observing stool. An accessory tray ties the legs together for rigidity.
