Coronado Solar Filter Adapter Plate

Most telescopes will require a Coronado built adaptor plate in order to secure the MaxScope series filter to the objective cell. These plates are built by Coronado for most telescope up to 16" in diameter. We have a standard list comprising of over 100 of the most popular models including Meade, Celestron. Takahashi, Astro Physics, Borg, Orion, and TeleVue telescopes.

Some adaptor plate will thread to the front objective cell and others, like the one pictured, will be lined with felt and slip over the objective cell, secured with thumb screws. Using anything other than a Coronado built adaptor is inherently unsafe and Coronado will not guarantee performance or safety (in terms of being securely attached to host telescope) of the filter when used with a non Coronado plate. Even standard plates can take several weeks for delivery if they are not in stock.
