In honor of the astronomer 1609 scientist Galileo Galilei who gave the world one of the first major turning points in human understanding of the universe, Celestron has developed a scope in symbolizing the telescope he used when observing. The portable FirstScope is a small Dobsonian that includes a 76mm aperture reflector optical tube. Navigating the night sky is very easy with moving the tube in the desired coordinates. The FirstScope can be placed on a bookshelf or desk as decoration or used on a table as a beginner telescope.
