Vixen Geoma 8x56ZCF Binoculars
The Vixen Geoma 8x56 ZCF Binoculars are great for both hikers and stargazers.
- The Vixen 8x56 Geoma Binoculars have 18mm of eye relief, meaning there is comfortable distance between the eye pupil and eyepiece lens. This is a definite advantage for individuals who wear glasses. In addition, longer eye relief prevents more vignetting at the edge of the field of view.
- Since the Geoma 8x56 Binoculars have a porro designed prism, they feature Bak-4 glass; also known as Barium Crown glass which is high dispersion. This will render a brighter image and also is a factor that will prevent vignetting.
- With a 6.1° field of view, these binoculars are great for viewing large celestial objects with higher surface brightness’s. These can include objects such as larger apparent globular clusters (Omega Centauri in Centaurus), bright open clusters (Pleiades in Taurus), as well as larger apparent galaxies (Andromeda Galaxy and Magellanic Clouds in southern hemisphere). The moon will also look great through these binoculars as well.
- Dividing the objective diameter by magnification gives these binoculars a 7mm exit pupil, making these Geoma binoculars excellent in low light conditions.
The Geoma models bring extremely clear and sharp viewing. The high contrast field of view is accomplished through Perfect Fully Multi-Coating (PFC) which is applied to the entire surface of lens and prisms. Long eye relief reduces stress during long term observing. Magnification on the zoom model can be adjusted quickly with a single lever action.
